And while the viral narrative has seen the outspoken figure rack up support in earnest, not all of the commentary about her and her story has been positive.

Appearing on the Tamron Hall Show, Reesa opened up about how life has changed since sharing the lengthy account. She also waxed candid about remarks made about her by Charlamagne Tha God on The Breakfast Club.
Speaking during a news segment covering her story, the host referred to the protagonist as “big back” – a remark Reesa says hurt her feelings given her battles with “insecurity”:
Addressing the remark, Charlamagne stressed that he hadn’t even seen Teesa at the point he spoke but was apologetic for any hurt caused. He said:
“I disturbed that woman’s peace and that was not my intention”
